First Steps (11-12 months)

Video description:
Most moms expect their children to take their first independent steps around month 11-12. If it hasn’t happened yet, there is no need to worry. It’s not unusual for small ones to start as late as 18 months. Of course, parents should encourage walking habit.
Make sure that it is safe enough for your baby to ‘cruise’ around her playroom. Hope, there are no sharp angles of furniture and toys on the floor.
Grasp your baby's hand and help her walk around for longer distances. That will help her improve her balance and become confident on two feet. Start with holding two hands of your baby and then leave one. When the baby can walk using furniture as supporter you can sit a bit far and stretch hands to the baby inviting her to approach you. She will surely go even if she fails for the first time.
Don’t leave your baby alone in the playroom. You never know when she makes her first attempts to walk.
